  1. Pastor's Report

    1. HPBC, OBN, HBF.

      1. Annual Meetings.   Mahalo to all messengers who came to support and participate.   The HPBC had new officers and a great celebration of unity and fellowship transpired.   Puu Kahea Baptist Conference is now open but is still needing improvements.   Our church will look into using the Baptist Camp for church retreats and training.   OBN annual meeting approved its new calendar and budget.   The proposed constitution and bylaws were deferred for next year’s annual meeting.

      2. OBN Baptist Men Retreat was attended by Pastor Bong and Cody Young (Dec. 6-7).

      3. OBN SHE Quarterly Inter-church Fellowship was hosted by our church and women from different churches participated (Dec 7).

      4. HBF held a luncheon and a few members of the stewardship attended.  We are grateful for years of partnership with HBF and their excellent work in investments and funds.

    2. Young Adults - Continue to Pray for the Young Adults as they are being discipled and evangelized by Chaplain Kyle McCool.

    3. Missions - In coordination with Mission Ministry, we continue to dialogue with Japan and Philippines and a possible exploratory trip for Japan and Pastor's conference and enrichment of church plants in the Philippines in June.

    4. Nursery - This past quarter had been challenging due to Violy’s changed schedule.  We are grateful to Cara Igloria, Kathy Uchino and Heidi Catingub for the nursery care they have extended.

    5. Prop and Space and the Baptist Men will do major work early next quarter with the parking lot reseal project.  We are grateful for Ranny’s leadership and many men who come out once a month to work and assist in maintaining the building.

    6. Pulpit Preaching - the Candle Advent is the series for Christmas.  Our church has finished the books of 1 & 2 Peter and the sermon, Faith in the Public Square which prepared our people for the presidential election in November, 2024.   Pastor Bong and Chaplain Kyle continue to preach.   We are grateful to Dr. John Montgomery (Nov 10) sunday preaching and to Navy Chaplain Andy Forrester for Thanksgiving Day participation (Nov 28)

    7. Weekday Early Education Preschool Ministries

      1. There was a waitlist of students last school year opening.   The community continues to grow and with the upcoming opening of the Wahiawa Civic Center, more young families need to be served.   Unfortunately, Preschool until 2nd grade can only use the bottom floor as mandated by the DOE. If FBC of  Wahiawa where to meet the need, the church had to expand broader.

      2. Pray that God will give us wisdom in the use of the higher floors for ministry and community.

      3. Pray that God will help us meet the needs of young families with young children by expanding horizontally.

    8. Flowers Ministry - I want to commend Ms. Linda Quiseng, Edith White and Edwina Wong and Belinda Catingub for their recent work with flowers ministry this past quarter.  It was creative, refreshing and beautiful.   Thank you ladies and to all the ladies and gentlemen who assist in this very important ministry.
