Based on Quarterly Committee Reports from Jan-March, 2024, Council Meeting held on February 11, 2024 and a specially called Council Meeting on March 10, 2024.

    1. Motion by Nominating Committee:  Motion to accept the following as tellers:

    2. Motion by Personnel and Stewardship Committee:   Motion to accept Kyle McCool's contract for 6 months, March - September, 2024 of $1,700.00 as proposed by the Personnel Committee and to amend budget as proposed by the Stewardship Committee.
    3. Motion by 90th Anniversary Committee:  Motion to suspend Stewardship Committee policy on "fund-raising" regarding the 90th anniversary celebrations as proposed by the 90th Anniversary Committee.

  8. Committee Reports (as needed)
    1. Pastor's Report
      1. Easter - the most well attended service of the year.  
        1. Promotional: Social Media and Banner. 
        2. Program - Easter Egg hunt for both children and adults.  Thanks to Deacons Evangelism who will fund the Easter egg program for children and adults. 
        3. Good Friday Service - March 29, 6pm.  Deacons, Pastor Bong and Kyle will be leading the service.   
      2. Young Adults - (1) 80% of baptism came from the young adults.  90% of new membership has come through Young Adults.  Let's continue to pray for their continued growth and the plan for the next 6 months.  (2) Congratulations to Kyle who went through the ordination process and FBC Men and Deacons have a big role to this achievement.    
      3. Missions - In coordination with Mission Ministry, we continue to dialogue with Japan and Philippines and a possible exploratory trip for Japan and Pastor's conference and enrichment of church plants in the Philippines on June. 
      4. Sunday School - on-going dialogue to strategize current and future growth of Sunday School Ministry by consolidation, by training new teachers and classroom needs. 
      5. Nursery - request for child barrier and upgrade the streaming to view the church's service while in Nursery;  on going dialogue for future hire and will work with Personnel and Stewardship; 
      6. Youth Ministry will meet at Wahiawa District Park and joint venture with Mililani Fil-Am Baptist Church Youth led by Micah Abagon.  Youth will initiate a conversation of asking the prop and space to convert part of the front parking lot into a volleyball and pickleball courts.  
      7. WMU Small groups - To begin a women's small group for a time of prayer and encouragement that hopefully will be the bedrock of WMU women's ministry of the church.  
      8. Wedding - Rory Wheatley and GraiShawn Landry on Saturday, March 30, 2024, 11am followed by potluck lunch. Another possible wedding is being planned and the church's prayers are truly appreciated.   
      9. Pulpit Preaching - We are currently going through the 7 Elements of Repentance.   The previous messages have focused on Conviction (with Pastor Tim Gentry), Contrition (with Pastor Kyle McCool) and Confession and Calling Upon the Lord (with Pastor Bong Abagon).   Consecration (March 17), Cling (March 24) and  Change (March 31) will complete the series.  The next book in line for the study is the book of Joel that emphasizes  God's righteous judgment and the people's restoration.  These all are designed to lead to the 90th celebration.   
    2. WMU (Women's Ministry).  S.H.E. of OBN will meet on March 23, 3-5pm at Waipahu Community Christian Church.  
    3. Seniors Ministry - The leadership was made up Grace H, Ellen T., Bob K, Lyn Y.   Seniors Fellowship on March 26, 2024, 10am.   
    4. Nursery:  I had a conversation with Violy to formalize the Nursery Ministry and to start looking for ways to better help the nursery care.   Possible new hire will come soon, but training and materials are being prepared for now.

    7. Social Ministry -  The social ministry had been active in preparing for the Aloha lunches on Sundays 1/28 and 2/25.   The social ministry also supported the Ordination of Pastor Kyle McCool on Sunday night, 03/10 which was attended by 70+ people from different churches.

      • Recognitions:  (1) We want to extend thanks to Ranny Catingub who changed all the leaking valves in the restrooms of the sanctuary and the educational building; (2) Thank you to the Hamili family, neighbor of the parsonage, who continue to look out and help secure while there is no occupancy. (3) Marshallese congregation for the upkeep of the church and parsonage yard.

    13. Deacons Report
      • Deacons will be preaching during the Good Friday Service on Friday, March 29, 6pm.  
      • Deacon Family Ministry has been revised for 2024 to accommodate new members
      • Deacon election were held with Deacon James and Don reelected for 2023-2027.  
      • Deacon chair will be Don B beginning April, 2024. 
      • Deacons will fund the purchase of 5 A frame community sign for year-long promotion through Evangelism and Revival line item.
      • Deacons will assign men for Lord's Supper, for collection of offering and ushers as needed.  
      • Deacons visitation happen every week.   Please call on the deacons if there are pressing need.  Deacon of the week are posted on the church bulletin.  
      • Deacon family Ministry get together on Saturday, April 6, 10am. 
      • Deacon will represent the church on the upcoming Wahiawa Ministers @ 9am, Surfing the Nations.
